1. What This Website Is
Greece Residents Directory is a private reference site for public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections relating to Greece, New York. It may describe or link to a record source, but it does not host government records and is not affiliated with an office, court, or records custodian.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use Greece Residents Directory only in a lawful manner. Neither the site nor information reached through it may be used to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Greece Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither site content nor a result from a linked tool is a consumer report. None may be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose.
4. Links to Outside Sites
Government portals, sponsored search tools, and other outside services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Greece Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, fees, or data handling.
5. No Warranties
The site is offered "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that site information is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will operate or return a correct result.
6. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the site or an external resource, including decisions based on a record located through them.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that result from misuse of the site or a breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The site's original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and short attributed quotations are permitted, but full-page republication or systematic copying of content is not.
9. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised by posting an updated version here. Use after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Cutting Off Access
Access may be blocked or limited without notice for a person who violates these terms or misuses the site.
11. Governing Law
New York law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Record-access information on the site refers, where applicable, to the New York Freedom of Information Law (FOIL), Public Officers Law Article 6, §§84-90. FOIL governs existing records of covered executive agencies; court-file access follows Judiciary Law §255 and court rules.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
